Get um while they're hot. The LE-1640 is back in stock!

Last week NewEgg had listed the LE-1640 CPU as "Deactivated Item" which meant those of you wanting to upgrade your HP EX470's processor had to settle for the slightly slower LE-1620 or LE-1600. Well today the LE-1640 is listed as back in stock AND the price was lowered from $55 to $47 (the same price as the LE-1620)!

If you were even considering a CPU upgrade (read a step-by-step how-to article here) I'd hurry up and order if I were you. Who knows when the LE-1640 will sell out again or have a price increase. Oh yeah, NewEgg is also offering free 3 days shipping, so what are you waiting for?

Fin. Why not comment on what you've just read or even Digg It!

Not to complain over a good deal, but I wanted to do the memory and processor upgrade ate the same time. They chage you for the shipping if you try to bundle the two together. Oh well keep up the good work.

Umm...is this a single core proc?? When Drive Extender and Migrator are running won't they take up the entire single core? I am hosting a website and I don't want it to be sluggish. Are there no faster dual-cores that work?

@Allan - the LE16xx series are indeed single core. Some people have tried installing a dual core, but have found that there are issues likely attribute to the BIOS. Demigrtor runs only when there is no other activity so this single core LE-1640 seems quite adequate.
