Stuff to pimp your Windows Home Server

Hacking Windows Home Server is a blog dedicated to Microsoft's WHS technology. Brought to you by Donavon West, Microsoft MVP and author of LiveGadgets.net and donavon.com I'll also discuss the Hewlett-Packard HP MediaSmart Server EX470, EX475, EX485, EX487, the T7-HSA Tranquil Harmony Home Server and any other new Home Server hardware platforms that arise. You can also call this hacking or hackz. In any case I will show you some cool things to make your Microsoft Windows Home Server even sweeter.

Books and Beers: The Mommy Book Winners

Today with the help of my lovely hand model Alyssa, I did the drawing for the Mommy Books. And as you can see from the “action shot” below, we actually did use a hat! (Does anyone recognize the logo?)

(c)2008 Home Server Hacks

The grand prize winner is “Michael” who wrote “Mikey Sayes Me To” on May 23rd. Michael will receive the collector’s edition "Mommy, Why is There a Server in the House?" book signed by Home Server General Manager Charlie Kindel.

(c)2008 Home Server Hacks

The three runners up and winners of the paperback edition are: “Life as I know it”, “Ten Of Zero” and “Mark H”. All four winners will also receive two Windows Home Server beer koozies.

If you are one of the four winners, pay attention because here is what you need to do to collect your prizes. Send an email to mommy@domain.com (where domain is homeserverhacks) with your U.S. postal address (as I stated, the contest was open to U.S. postal addresses only). I will then reply to your email with a “secret code”. Post a comment here with that code so that I can verify that you are in fact the winner and not an imposter. I will match the profile URL of the original post with the one that you use to post the secret code. If they match, then you are legit.

After you check out, I’ll get the prizes in the mail right away. It sounds complicated, but it really isn’t (It’s like validating an email address as we’re all used to by now). Congratulations to you all and thanks to everyone for participating.

Fin. Why not comment on what you've just read or even Digg It!

Sorry guys, I've been working on another project for a while. No, I never did get the emails and was starting to wonder. Please resend ASAP and I'll get the stuff out as soon as I get them.

Guys, I still have not received your emails. Maybe I have some issue on my side, but I've even looked in my spam folder (which is HUGE). Please send your mailing address to ask @ Home + Server + Guy + .com (without the "+"'s obviously) as I know I get email there. And thanks for your patience!
