Deal on Western Digital 1TB Hard Drive

image

To fill time, and to keep you updated on the best hard drive deals, I'd like to tell you about the latest deal from Newegg. They have the Western Digital 1TB drive on sale for $99, with FREE SHIPPING.

This is the same hard drive that I used in my 11TB Rack Home Server (OK, I bought eleven). It is very green, consuming less power while active than most other drives consume while idle, very reliable and features a 32MB cache.

Click here and enter promo code EMCLNMV45 at checkout.

Fin. Why not comment on what you've just read or even Digg It!

I'd like to see the W20EADS 2TB drives show up at the $150 price point if the 1.5TB is running $120. But the Egg has it finally on the site (not available) for the full $300.

They would not let me use this for more than one drive. I ordered one, then opened two new accounts to buy the other two.

This is a good deal, but Newegg's got an even better deal now. $75 for a samsung bare drive - a crazy deal for anyone with a spare drive bay or external enclosure. Who knew that you could get such a good deal on so much space? 10 years ago I never would have thought I'd own a terabyte of space - let alone 3.
