*** SOLD OUT ***
You all know that the next major release of Windows Home Server is code named "Vail", right? Well if you want to be one of the cool kids at your next LAN party or user group (or whatever the kids are going these days) then you'll want one of these sweet Windows Home Server "Vail" tee-shirts.
I recently returned from the 2009 Microsoft MVP Global Summit where I managed to finagle a limited quantity of these quality t-shirts for my readers. They are offered on a first come first served basis and are free (plus $5 shipping and handling fee).
They are printed on black 100% pre-shrunk cotton and have the "Vail" logo on the front (in light blue), the words "valuable – adept – intelligent - lightweight" on the back (you can tell people that refers to you) and the internal Microsoft URL http://WHS printed on the sleeve (in white and orange). People will think you are a Microsoft insider. Oooooh!
I only have a limited number of men's sized t-shirts and very few in each size (see size chart). I want everyone to get the opportunity, so act fast! The sizes seem to run pretty true. I'm about average and am keeping a X-Large for myself, but I like my tee's to run big.
Size | Initial Quantity |
M | 5 |
L | 5 |
XL | 8 |
3XL | 3 |
Ordering
I've setup the following PayPal order system. This is the first time that I've used this service and I hope it works. It is supposed to track inventory and not sell anything once the quantity of each size reaches zero. Also REMEMBER TO SELECT YOUR SIZE (unless you want the default medium). I will not issue refunds for wrong sizes. Sorry folks, this time it's United States addresses only.
Fine Print
What does the $5 cover? Well I've already spent $25 on Tyvek envelopes at Staples and then there is the actual First Class U.S. postage, PayPal fees and trips to the Post Office. I'm not out to make a dime on this, just trying to re-coop my cost and provide you all with some fancy WHS dresswear. Forgive me if you think I'm overcharging, but I'm still uncertain about the actual shipping charges and am a little worred about getting burned, but I'm hoping I'm OK.
Sorry, but the offer is open to United States addresses only. Dammit (there, I said it for you).
I know… fluff, fluff. More actual Home Server Hacks coming later this week so stay tuned!

The PayPal link appears to be broken and I can't send the cash! And I have to go out so I'll probably miss it! Dammit! (there, I said it now)
Any chance you'll hold an XL for me until it's fixed? I was here and tried! :-)
I can't get the Paypal link to work either. I also would like an XL
I'm trying for a 3x, but getting an error on paypal as well. It says that the link points to an outdated version of paypal.
Working on the problem guys! Sorry!
Re-pasted the PayPal code. It APPEARS to be working, but please let me know ASAP if it is not (or if you were able to place an order).
From the flood of orders, I see that the PayPal code is working. :)
XL is SOLD OUT! Only one 3XL left. Only sold one Medium and one Large so far.
3XL is SOLD OUT. 3 Large and 2 Medium left.
Dang it, I missed the 3x while I was out for supper. Gratz to whoever got 'em.
Any chance you can throw in a WHS sticker with our order? Andrew M
Only one Medium left. Everything else is GONE. Wow, that was quick. All packages sealed, labeled and should ship out tomorrow.
All sold out folks! I'll be loading up the pickup truck and driving to the Post Office later today.
Donavon - look at http://www.tomshardware.com/us/ to see Tom's Hardware hacking the HP MediaSmart WHS like you did, kinda.
Wow. I was really fortunate to stumble over to your site when I did. Thanks again.
Tom's pulled the HP Hack article :(
@Kitty - found it and posted. Thx
All of the tees were sent out today via USPS. Let me know when they start to arrive.
