Hewlett Packard lifted the embargo today on it's new Windows Home Server, the LX195 MediaSmart Server. It is based on Windows Home Server (with expansion via USB drives).

MSRP is $399. Sorry no price in the original post, but see update. Info was pouring into me as I was posting and I didn't have price at the time. I didn't want to delay the announcement because of it.
I should have a review unit tomorrow or Friday and will post unboxing pics as they happen.
This new HP WHS falls short on (my) expectations... While it fits the needs of many "entry-level" home users, it lacks a few things to make it great!
1. dual-core Atom
2. 2GB DRAM
3. Second internal SATA disk option (duplication!!)
4. e-SATA in addition to the USB ports (way faster speeds)
Yes, cost would be higher but this box would be a killer! Form factor would be a bit bigger but hey it's small already!
