I was using the WHS Add-In JungleDisk until I acquired an ioSafe Solo 1.5TB Fireproof Waterproof External Hard Drive (GREAT product, BTW. See my review). Since then I've uninstalled JuingleDisk and now I have a couple gigabytes of data that I don't need just sitting around on S3 costing me about $9/month. How do I get rid of it? There is an application that lets you maintain your Amazon S3 "buckets". It is called SpaceBlock. It's a simple app that allows you to browse your buckets and even delete files.
I've had SpaceBlock installed on my machine for a while now, but I never really think about deleting the my S3 files like I should. Thanks to Phil over at MSWHS for posting this today. It gave me the poke in the rear that I needed to remove the files. Below you can see that I'm deleting over 25,000 files from S3, which will save me around $9/month.

Using the ioSafe Solo sounds like a good option, until your home is broken into. I had all my stuff backed up onsite last year, and was comfortable in that if a drive died, I'd be fine.
I went away for a weekend, came back, and found my place had been cleaned out, including all of the computers. No more photos, music, nothing. So now, I use offsite storage and pay the $9/mo ($5 for me), for the security in knowning that it won't happen again.

I always enjoy learning how other people employ Amazon S3 online storage. I am wondering if you can check out my very own tool CloudBerry Explorer that helps to manage S3 on Windows . It is a freeware.
With CloudBerry Explorer PRO you can even connect to FTP accounts
Just wanted to let you know that CloudBerry Lab released Online Backup for WHS We are looking for beta testers.
