Microsoft Giving Away Windows Home Server for FREE (CANCELED)

Note that this deal has been canceled!

No joke, they actually are giving it away (well, in a round about way, but still). Microsoft is giving away a 3 month TechNet Plus subscription which will not only get you a free downloadable copy of Windows Home Server (with CD Key of course), but all of your other Microsoft favorites as well like Windows 7, Office 2007 and more.

A one year Technet Plus subscription normally goes for $349 (and even that's a great deal) but you can get your for free if you live in Canada, the United States or the United Kingdom.

Have you successfully signed up? I'm getting an error: "We are unable to validate your customer information and proceed with your order at this time."

The signup hasn't worked since yesterday afternoon... Unsure of what hte issue is, but good for those who got it...

Sorry folks, this deal is dead. The offer was supposed to be tied to a survey done in the UK. The link was shared, mass sign-ups occured, and MS is now fixing the "error." I wish it would've lasted longer, but apparently not.

Sorry for the inconvenience folks. I hadn't signed up as I already have a TechNet account. I normally check things like this out (NewEgg promo codes, etc) but not this time and it bit me!

I worked for me for 20 hours, and I did get a copy of WHS plus the keys. I hope the keys retain their validity.

@Donavon - Not to change the subject here but, Newegg is currently running a special on Western Digital Green 1TB drives for only $79.99 with free shipping while supplies last!

Thanks guys, I was part of this pilot and they shut it down because of so many sites posting this loophole.
